P1101 – Electricity and Magnetism (Lebanese University, Faculty of Sciences, MISPE First Year) Understand electricity and magnetism from the ground up: electric fields, Gauss’s law, potential, capacitors, circuits, and magnetic fields. You get full recorded lessons you can watch anytime covering material explanation , Exercises Solving and Past Exam Solutions .
About This Course
P1101 – Electricity and Magnetism For first-year students MISPE at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Sciences P1101 is where physics meets the forces behind every electrical device around you. Many students find it hard at first because it mixes new physical ideas (fields, flux, potential) with vector calculations and integrals. This course takes you through the entire syllabus step by step. You’ll build the intuition behind each concept, learn the standard problem-solving methods, and be ready for the exercises you’ll face in exams. How the course works Recorded lessons: Every chapter is explained in clear, structured videos. You can watch at your own pace, pause, and rewatch before exams. Live sessions: Regular live classes where we solve problems together, go over common exam questions, and answer your questions directly. Exercise-focused: We work through chapter exercises and exam-style problems, not just the theory. What you’ll learn Electric Fields and Electric Force: Electric charge, Coulomb’s law, the electric field of point charges and continuous charge distributions, field lines, and the motion of charges in a uniform field. Gauss’s Law: Electric flux, Gauss’s law . Electric Potential: Potential energy and electric potential, potential due to point charges and charge distributions, and the link between field and potential. Capacitors: Capacitance, parallel-plate, capacitors in series and parallel . Electric Circuits: Current, resistance, and Ohm’s law, power, resistors in series and parallel, Kirchhoff’s rules, and RC circuits. Magnetic Fields: Magnetic force on moving charges . By the end of the course, you will be able to: Calculate electric fields and forces for point charges and charge distributions Apply Gauss’s law to symmetric problems with confidence Analyze capacitor networks and DC circuits using Kirchhoff’s rules Solve problems involving magnetic forces on charges and currents Who it’s for This course is for first-year Faculty of Sciences students taking P1101 First Semester.
